A Story of Hope
I believe the element of hope brings an unquantifiable component to My Beautiful English™. It is my desire to have those engaged in My Beautiful English™ sparked by hope first and then begin their journey with this hope as the vehicle to mobilize new perspectives and options.
I was indelibly touched by a scientific study I read many years ago. As an animal rights advocate I admittedly was outraged by the cruelty, but through the years I have often used this story as a metaphor of hope for my clients. The study essentially put mice in water-filled jars apparently to measure how various stimuli affected performance. One of the mice was repeatedly removed from its jar and then returned to it again. This mouse was able to endure much longer than the other mice simply because it believed it would be taken out of the jar. This belief transformed into power beyond the normal strength of mice. Simple belief created hope that carried a power which transcended physical and mental limitations.
This little mouse ignited deep hope in me to look beyond convention and circumstance for solutions in many aspects of my life.
May My Beautiful English™ be this little mouse to those who begin their journey.
